In a dark and stony cathedral, a pair of dominas divine a prophecy in the whip-worn scars of a penitent slave’s back. Macbeth is chosen, a long, hard road, a climb. As he and his Femme rise, kill, slaughter, the House of Asbury, torn by addiction and destitution, unravels publicly, sending Prime, a sensitive young girl, into an abyss of sadosexual torment, and her brother, Small, to join his sadoslave and confidante in a burgeoning revolution that may bring about the total destruction of this alien civilization.

Fate is what we make of it. Life is a vice. Vice is a choice. Sex is currency. Love is foreign. Language is fractured. Existence is short and merciless. All hail BITCH MACBETH.

The return of the acclaimed and infamous theatrical event, writer/director Frank Cwiklik’s BITCH MACBETH marks the first production from this influential theater maverick in Brooklyn’s The Brick, recently named Time Out New York’s “Essential Theater Space for 2007". Transforming the imposing Brick interior into an otherworldly landscape, this show immerses its audience in a strikingly foreign, yet unsettlingly familiar universe in which feudal estates vie for power and glamour, psychosexual relationships are the norm, history is five minutes long, and life is a brief and brutal kind of controlled chaos. Rewritten and reimagined to provide a new and challenging experience, yet still possessed of the same ambitious, brash daring and mayhem, this is a fresh and disturbing theatrical event.

Starring indie theater favorite Adam Swiderski as the tortured and towering Macbeth, as well as other past favorites from Do What Now and DMTheatrics’ storied past, including the return of Bryan Enk and Matthew Gray as the infamous Rosenstern and Guildencrantz, slavetraders to the aristocracy; Inverse Theater Group’s Bob Laine as the lion in winter, the haunting Crown Asbury; Kevin Myers as the charming yet sinister Auctioneer; and Michele Schlossberg as Copper, the dom whose visions set in motion events that will reverberate throughout the kingdom. Also joining the show are a stellar cast of young, new faces, and Brick favorites, including Samantha Mason as the brutal, sensual Femme Macbeth; Becky Byers as the imperiled young Prime Asbury; David Mills Boynton as the driven and dangerous Small Asbury; Fred Backus as the scheming and deadly Rbiter; and a troupe of extraordinary dancers and performers choreographed by Sarah E. Jacobs.
